- Newsletter sign-up: your email address and your consent to receive emails.
Please do not send personal health information (such as diagnoses, glucose readings or medications) through the website forms. If you do, we will use it only to respond to you and will delete it when it is no longer needed.
Information collected automatically
- Website analytics: we use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how the website is used (for example, pages visited, referring website, browser, device type and approximate country). It does not use cookies and does not identify individual visitors.
- Server and security logs: our hosting provider processes technical information such as IP address, browser type and request times to deliver the website and protect it against abuse.
Embedded content
- Our Contact page shows an embedded Google Map. When it loads, Google may collect information (such as your IP address) and may set cookies under Google's Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).
- Links to our social media pages (Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn) take you to those platforms, which have their own privacy policies.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- respond to your questions, demo and call requests;
- send our newsletter, if you have opted in;
- operate, secure and improve the website; and
- meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use website form submissions for advertising.
4. Consent
By submitting a form you consent to our use of your information for the purpose described when you provide it. Newsletter subscriptions use double opt-in: you will receive a confirmation email and are subscribed only after you confirm, in line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

We may also disclose personal information where required or permitted by law.
6. Retention
We keep contact and demo requests for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and for up to [PLACEHOLDER: retention period, e.g. 24 months] afterwards, unless a longer period is required by law. Newsletter information is kept until you unsubscribe.
7. Safeguards
We protect personal information with safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls limited to staff who need the information, and reputable service providers with their own security programs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
8. Your rights
You may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent (subject to legal or contractual restrictions). To make a request, contact us at info@diabai.ca. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
